Darien Wellness Center Extends Stay Into 2019

DARIEN, CT - From Darien Community Wellness: The co-proprietors of Darien Community Wellness, a holistic and integrative wellness center at the Noroton Heights Shopping Plaza, are thrilled to announce that, due to overwhelming demand, they are extending their stay at the location into 2019.

Darien Community Wellness offers a range of holistic and integrative therapies, BEMER Sessions, fitness classes, wellness workshops and modalities for all ages, needs and abilities. It is located at 300 Heights Road, next to Heights Pizza, and is a joint venture of Allison Stolar, CEO of Inspire Train Fit, and Margarita Xistris of Darien Community Wellness.

Services currently offered at the center include corrective exercise, PNF stretching, fascia release therapy, fitness classes, yoga, aromatherapy, meditation, Reiki, and BEMER Sessions as well as wellness workshops and other events. Offerings coming in the New Year include: yoga classes, stretching classes, wellness workshops, Reiki healing circles, meditation, dream board workshops, Thai massage, acupuncture sessions and additional BEMER sessions and training.

The center also has a wonderful selection of wellness related items and accessories – great for last-minute holiday gifts and stocking stuffers – from handmade scarves, inspirational beaded wellness bracelets and active fitness apparel to essential oil rollers and room mists. Gift certificates for training sessions and BEMER sessions are also available. Artist Kevin Dailey whose works grace the walls is offering 20 percent off his pieces in December.

The center’s hours of operation are Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and weekends by appointment. Extended hours also are available by appointment.

This Thursday, Dec. 13, the center will host a special “Ladies Night” Holiday Trunk Show from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Participating vendors include Peach, Stella & Dot, Beautycounter, Sjalskincare, Kevin Dailey Images, Inspire Train Fit, A_A_ Slimers10, and more. Light refreshments will be served including hot chocolate and popcorn, and there will be a special slime booth for kids. Dr. Tanvi Gandhi will be offering $20 crystal acupressure seed treatments for stress reduction and inner harmony, along with herbal tea samples and aromatherapy.

BEMER sessions have been one of the centerpieces of the wellness center since it opened in September. The acronym BEMER stands for Bio Magnetic Energy Regulation. This breakthrough medical technology has proven to improve blood flow, strengthen cardiac function and enhance your body’s nutrient and oxygen supply. The BEMER can also promote metal acuity, reduce stress and improve sleep.
