With five runners finishing in the top 15, Darien won the CIAC Class L boys cross country title Saturday at Manchester's Wickham Park.
Luis Johnston (16:44) placed fifth to lead the Blue Wave's contingent and was followed by No. 6 Charlie Baird (16:50) and No. 8. Michael Coe (16:55).
Darien's Marshall Huffman (17:07) finished 12th and Alex Ostberg (17:16) was 15th.

Coming off a second-place finish at the FCIAC championship, Darien won the team championship with 46 points, well ahead of Naugatuck's second-place total of 86 points.
Fairfield Warde's Harry Warnick won the individual title, crossing in 16:05, which was three seconds ahead of Naugatuck's Muad Hrezi.
