Darien ZBA: Shake Shack Needs to Give 2 Inches

The question now is whether Shake Shack will accept the signage terms or walk away from the town again.

DARIEN, CT- The Zoning Board of Appeals approved 20-inch signs for Shake Shack's proposed Post Road restaurant, but it remains to be seen whether the company will budge from the 22 inch signage it wants.

Developer David Genovese will ask the chain if they will accept the 20-inch limit, according to the Darienite.

The restaurant chain walked away from the deal before after they weren't granted a variance for its signs. Normally signs in the area of the Post Road are smaller, but businesses can and have requested variances.
