Darien's Baywater Development Application Withdrawn
The Planning and Zoning Commission was contemplating a delay.

DARIEN, CT — The application for a mixed-use complex in downtown Darien was withdrawn by the developers as the Planning and Zoning Commission continued its deliberations, reports the Darien Times.
Baywater Properties was seeking changes to the town's regulations to allow for taller buildings, a move that was dividing some residents. Currently, Darien's building heights are capped at 35 feet, but Baywater was seeking a maximum height of more than double that amount.
P&Z Commissioner John Sini told the publication that he anticipates Baywater may consider making changes and then re-apply to move the project forward.
