Darien's Old Kings Highway North Bridge Set To Close For Construction: PD

Work is scheduled to begin next week.

DARIEN, CT — The Old Kings Highway North Bridge over I-95 in Darien will be closing to all westbound traffic for construction work beginning on June 7 and lasting through the remainder of 2017, according to police.

"All Old Kings Highway North traffic coming westbound (towards the Post Road), will be required 24/7 to enter I-95 northbound as the posted detour," wrote police in a statement. "All eastbound Old Kings Highway North traffic (from the Post Road) will still be able to travel through the area towards Rowayton or onto I-95 northbound."

This partial closure will be in effect until the bridge is completely replaced, which is expected to take the remainder of the year.
