Dates Set For Annual Darien Chamber Of Commerce Sidewalk Sales Event

DARIEN, CT -- The Board of Selectmen last week unanimously approved the dates for the annual Darien Chamber of Commerce Sidewalk Sale event.

This year's shopping extravaganza will take place from July 9-11.

In a letter to First Selectman Jon Zagrodzky, Darien Chamber Executive Director Kesti Aysseh said vendors will be allowed to set up at Darien Commons, Heights Crossing and Old Kings Market. Business owners may set up outside of their stores as usual.

Aysseh said the Chamber will section off a section of the parking lot on Saturday for those who wish to participate one day only at a lesser fee.

Youth (ages 14-22) and non-Chamber member vendors will be invited and permitted to participate in the sidewalk sales.

The Youth Entrepreneurial tent will be set up Saturday-only next to Bankwell. There will be three-day pop-up vendors in The Corbin District, along the Post Road, and Grove Street Plaza.
