Decision Reached On Plan For Darien's Highfield Farm: Report
The town bought the 16-acre property last year from Ox Ridge Riding and Racquet Club.

DARIEN, CT — The plan to turn Highfield Farm in Darien into a passive and active recreational site was recently approved by the Planning and Zoning Commission, writes the Darien News.
The town, which bought the 16-acre property last year from Ox Ridge Riding and Racquet Club, has three years to implement the plan, which will first require fencing and the creation of a 92-vehicle parking area.

Plans call the site to be used for Parks and Rec programs and activities during certain hours, and also to allow for the walking of dogs on a leash, among other uses.
