Details Announced For Annual Darien Sidewalk Sales Event

The three-day event will feature sales, merchandise, services and family-friendly activities.

DARIEN, CT — The Darien Chamber of Commerce will host its annual Sidewalk Sales from July 9-11, bringing local retailers and pop-up vendors to shopping districts throughout town.

The three-day event will feature sales, merchandise, services and family-friendly activities at locations including The Corbin District, Grove Street Plaza and Darien Commons.

Additional vendors will be set up along the Post Road and Day Street, offering products ranging from fashion and accessories to home décor and gifts.

Vendor and parking maps will be available at the Darien Chamber of Commerce website.

Visitors can pick up tickets for free Gofer ice cream at the Darien Chamber table, where information about local businesses, community events, town programs, chamber membership opportunities and initiatives such as e-gift cards and gift certificates will also be available.

The event will also include the return of the Youth Entrepreneurial Tent at Bankwell on July 11, featuring products and services from local young entrepreneurs.

The Sidewalk Sales will begin with a Shopping Showcase & Breakfast event at Ring's End, located at 181 West Ave., on July 9 from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.

Organizers said the event will include demonstrations, displays, giveaways and a complimentary breakfast provided by Garden Catering.

Ring's End staff will be available to discuss home improvement services and products, including architectural hardware, custom millwork, window installation, kitchens, paint and interior design.
