Details Announced For Darien's July 4th Fireworks

The town announced recently that the fireworks display is scheduled for July 15 at Darien High School, with a rain date of July 16.

DARIEN, CT — Darien's 4th of July fireworks are back for 2022.

The town announced recently that the fireworks display is scheduled for July 15 at Darien High School, with a rain date of July 16.

Live music will be provided by the Darien Community Band, and food trucks will be on site. Residents are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs. Once again, there will be a sensory-friendly location for viewers.

Resident parking passes will go on sale starting Monday, June 27 through Wednesday, July 13, and are limited. Passes may be purchased online or in person at the Parks & Recreation Department at Town Hall from 8:00 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Town hall is closed on Fridays.

Passes are $30, and available for Darien residents only. Availability of passes (online and in person) is on a first-come, first-served basis. They must be picked-up in office whether purchased online or in-person. Walk-ins are free and not limited to residents.

To purchase your parking pass online starting June 27, please visit darienct.gov/fireworks. In-person pick-up is required by Wednesday, July 13.

Access To Darien High School

Access to the fireworks event will only be accessible via Noroton Avenue starting at 6:30 p.m. when gates open.

The fireworks show begins at approximately 9 p.m. Access to the school property will be restricted from 1 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. for personnel and vendors only.

Only vehicles with parking passes will be permitted into the event – passes must be visible on the dashboard prior to arriving at the event.
