Details On Darien's Annual Tree-Lighting Event
The town is gearing up for its annual tree-lighting event which will feature an appearance from Santa Claus.
DARIEN, CT — Darien is gearing up once again for its annual tree-lighting.
The Darien Parks and Recreation Department is partnering with the Darien Sport Shop and the Darien Chamber of Commerce for the event, which is scheduled for Nov. 26 from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., according to a recent newsletter from now-former First Selectman Monica McNally.
Santa Claus will arrive on his truck at 5 p.m. Hot cocoa and cookies will be served.

Additionally, the popular Old Fashioned Holiday event will take place on Dec. 9 at Tilley Pond Park and feature old fashioned treats, crafts, fresh popped popcorn, carolers and more.
