Details On Darien's Menorah Lighting & Hanukkah Celebration

The event is will take place in Grove Street Plaza on Dec. 21.

DARIEN, CT — With Hanukkah underway, the town of Darien is preparing for its community-wide celebration of the Jewish Festival of Lights.

The town's menorah lighting will take place on Wednesday, Dec. 21, beginning at 6 p.m., in Grove Street Plaza in downtown.

There will be food, singing, stories and giveaway for children. During each night of Hanukkah through Dec. 25, a different Jewish Darien family will help light the menorah at 6 p.m.

All are welcome to attend each night. If they're able, attendees are being urged to bring a new, unwrapped toy for donation to The Open Doors Shelter of Norwalk.
