Dozens Of Xanax Pills Found After Darien Motor Vehicle Stop: PD
The incident occurred on Oct. 25 on Parklands Drive.

DARIEN, CT — A 23-year-old Norwalk woman was arrested on multiple narcotics charges in Darien on Oct. 25 after police found 55 Xanax pills, marijuana and drug paraphernalia in her purse and in the vehicle she was riding in, according to authorities.
Nicole F. Greenwald, of Flax Hill Road, was a passenger in a vehicle that was pulled over at about 5 p.m. on the 25th after driving through the parking lot of an office building on Parklands Drive. An officer noticed the tint of her windows was too dark to see through.
"Upon approaching the vehicle, the officer detected the odor of burnt marijuana emanating from the windows," wrote Darien police in a statement. "The operator indicated to the officer that they had smoked marijuana earlier in the day. When asked if they had any marijuana on their persons, the front passenger, later identified as Nicole Greenwald, indicated she did. A search of the vehicle was conducted during which a purse was located. Inside the purse officers found several prescription bottles, marijuana, loose pills, and smoking devices. Greenwald indicated it was her purse. One of the prescription bottles had the name of an individual who was not present. That person was contacted and confirmed that it was their prescription, but didn’t know how Greenwald came to possess it. Two of the bottles had the name of the operator and were returned to him. A clear, plastic baggie containing 55 pills later determined to be Xanax was also located."
