Drunk Driver Accused Of Using Car To Threaten Other Motorist: DPD
The incident occurred Sunday evening and ended in front of Darien Police Headquarters.

DARIEN, CT — A 40-year-old Hawthorne, NY man was arrested by Darien police on charges of driving under the influence and using his vehicle "to harass or intimidate" another motorist in a bizarre incident Sunday evening, according to authorities.
Geovanny P. Morocho was arrested in front of Darien police headquarters just before 7 p.m. after he allegedly drove "in an aggressive manner" after the other driver from Rowayton into Darien.
The victim had contacted Darien police to report that a vehicle - which police later discovered was driven by Morocho - began following her after an encounter when she went to pick up her 11-year-old daughter in Rowayton. The Darien police dispatcher told the victim to drive straight to police headquarters which was nearby.

"An officer in the building went to the front where the victim pulled up," stated Darien police. "The officer observed a red Toyota sedan directly behind the victim, and instructed the operator to pull over. The victim told officers that the vehicle [had] been driving extremely fast and had almost struck her while she was parked in Rowayton picking up her 11 year old daughter. When she motioned out her window to the vehicle to slow down, she explained that the vehicle did a U turn after it passed her and came back. The operator then yelled something to the victim and stuck his tongue out as he passed. As the victim drove away, the red vehicle followed her. Not wanting to drive home, she drove into Darien with the vehicle following her the entire time. After the vehicle continued to follow her as she made several turns, she contacted the Darien Police who instructed her to drive to the police department."
Once in front of police headquarters, Morocho was ordered to exit his vehicle, at which time officers "noticed he was unsteady on his feet."

"When interviewed, Morocho apologized for driving while intoxicated and stated he didn’t know where he was but that he believed he was only ten minutes from his home," police officials said. "Morocho submitted to field sobriety testing which he failed to perform to standard. Based on the above, he was placed under arrest."
Inside police headquarters, officers tested Morocho's blood alcohol content and allegedly discovered it measured .2291 and .2385, both readings nearly three-times the legal limit.
Morocho was charged with:
- Operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs
- Vehicle driven with intent to harass or intimidate
- Operating a motor vehicle without a license
- Breach of peace
He was held in lieu of bail of $1,000 and is scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court at a later date.
