Enrollment Dropping In CT Schools, See How Your District Changed
Connecticut's public school enrollment is expected to drop through 2025. See how your district's figures have changed over the years.

The majority of Connecticut’s public primary and secondary school systems have seen decreases in enrollment over the past five years. Overall enrollment has dropped by nearly 20,000 students from 2012 to 2017.
There were 554,729 pupils in the 2012-2013 school year and 534,968 in the 2017-2018 school year. (Check chart below to see how your school district's enrollment has changed.)
Connecticut’s enrollment is expected to drop 14.2 percent between 2013 and 2025, according to a study by the National Center For Education Statistics.

The following public and charter school systems saw the largest increase in students between 2012 and 2017:
- Capitol Region Education Council: 2,306
- Learn: 756
- New London School District: 593
- Bridgeport School District: 558
- Danbury School District: 533
- Waterbury School District: 522
- Capital Preparatory Harbor School Inc. District: 439
- Norwalk School District: 425
- Great Oaks Charter School District: 400
- Bridgeport Achievement First Hartford Academy Inc. District: 325
