Civil Twilight Performs at The Levitt Pavilion

FREE

“The future is indeed very bright for this extremely talented trio” – The Examiner
“The trio delivers compelling, emotional music… one listen and you’ll agree that three is the perfect number” – Justine Magazine

Ambitious lyrics and expansive soundscapes from a trio of South African transplants. Three lifelong friends – brothers Steven and Andrew McKellar and Richard Wouters – have been playing together since they were teens – and count musical influences from Oasis, U2 and Nirvana, to The Verve, The Police and Radiohead. Civil Twilight envelopes you in its multi-layered sound and vision – at once, lush, feverish and exotic and at the same time, vast, arid, and spacious. The band’s name is a reflection on that in-between time, not quite daylight, not quite darkness, but rather a shifting shade of grey. Don’t miss them – attending this, our last Saturday concert of the Summer 2011, guarantees future bragging rights.

Rain Location:
Saugatuck School Auditorium, 170 Riverside Avenue in Westport.
