"She stated that she observed Barret’s vehicle in her designated parking spot when she arrived home," wrote Darien police in a statement. "When the victim went inside her residence, she saw Barret holding her iPad, while standing in the living room. The victim stated that when she asked him how he got into the residence, Barret stated he used some type of firefighter’s tool and admitted to forcing entry via the rear door of the building, which had been locked. The victim then asked Barret why he was there, to which he replied that he wanted to know if she was seeing someone else. She told him to leave, at which time he did.
