Father Michael Jude Fay Dies in Prison

The former pastor of St. John Roman Catholic Church died while serving time for $1 million theft.

The Roman Catholic Diocese of Bridgeport reported that Reverend Michael Jude Fay, the former pastor of St. John Roman Catholic Church who pleaded guilty to embezzling over $1 million from the parish, died Saturday. Fay, 58, had prostate cancer and was serving a 37 month prison sentence at Butner Federal Correctional Complex in North Carolina, after his conviction in December 2007.
