Fee Increases Announced In Darien: Town Clerk

DARIEN, CT — Marriage licenses, liquor permit filings and cremation permits are among the Darien fees that increased in price, effective July 1, announced Town Clerk Donna E. Rajczewski.

The marriage license fee, for example, jumped from $30 to $50, and breaks down like this:

• Victims of Abuse Surcharge (sent to the state) went from $19 to $34
• Amount retained in Town went from $11 to $16

Among the other fees to increase include map filing and indexing going from $10 to $20, and the Removal, Transit and Burial Permit fee from $3 to $5.
