CONNECTICUT — Two weeks into the new season, a panel of Connecticut field hockey coaches has issued its first poll ranking the top teams in the state, and Darien was the top choice on all ballots.

Two of the Blue Wave's Fairfield County Interscholastic Athletic Conference rivals, New Canaan and Staples, placed second and third, respectively.

Here are the top 10, as well as all other programs receiving votes.

Also receiving votes: Greenwich, Ridgefield, Pomperaug, Hall, Daniel Hand, North Branford, Conard, Joel Barlow, Bethel, Stonington, Wilton.
