Final Spots Available in Darien Arts Center Acting Classes
Students of all experience levels can still enroll in DAC's dynamic acting program.
Darien, CT — The Darien Arts Center (DAC) is excited to announce limited availability in its acting classes for the Winter/Spring semester, including the launch of a new On-Camera / Micro-Short Film program for young actors beginning in January 2026.
Designed for students in grades 3–12, this new program introduces participants to the fundamentals of on-camera acting through immersive, film-focused training. Classes are taught by Brian J. Carter of The Acting Gym and take place in DAC’s black-box studio, The Weatherstone, providing students with real-world exposure to film performance, collaboration, and storytelling. Classes meet on Sundays and are grouped by age: Grades 3–5 from 1:30–2:30 PM, Grades 6–8 from 3:00–4:30 PM, and Grades 9–12 from 5:00–6:30 PM. Tuition is $475 for Grades 3–5 and $545 for Grades 6–12.
In addition to youth offerings, the Darien Arts Center also offers a professional-level acting class for adults (18+), held on Wednesday evenings. This class is designed for adults looking to sharpen audition skills, deepen emotional range, or continue their acting development in a structured, supportive environment.
