Good Snow Conditions - Finally for DHS Ski Team Race
Brooks Daley and Hayden Nackley race for the Blue Wave Ski Team
The Darien High School Ski Team raced after the second snow storm in two weeks on fresh packed powder snow against high school ski teams representing Farmington, Pomperaug, Westhill and Wilton at the Mt. Southington Ski Area.
The Girls Varsity Team with a time of 313.02 finished 4th defeating Pomperaug DSQ and Westhill 385.75 while losing to Wilton 300.59. The Boys Varsity Team with a time of 300.49 finished 7th defeating Farmington DSQ and Westhill DSQ while losing to Pomperaug 293.85 and Wilton 286.86.
Girls’ times this week were Katharine Graham 48.22 (Co-captain), Maggie Skeats 49.04, Taylor Hart 49.40 (Co-captain), Carly Schoudel 51.54, Maddie Corman 57.38, Christina Molkenthin 57.44, Isabel Sutherland 58.29, Maggie Reilly 58.91, Kylie Morgan 60.24, and Victoria Klarer 62.14.

Boys’ times this week were Brooks Daley 46.91, Chris von Stuelpnagel (Co-captain) 49.20, Graham Skeats 49.65 (Co-captain), Ben Wilson 50.23, Will Brandon 51.66, Slater Lovegrove 52.84, Hayden Nackley 53.34, Sean Collins 53.42, Gray Kline 54.06, and AJ Scaloro 55.81.
Coach Brian Zeyer said, “The racers were really on top of their skis this week with good snow conditions.”
