Governor Orders State Flags Lowered for Deceased State Rep.

Gov. Dannel Malloy ordered Connecticut state flags lowered to half staff in honor of state Rep. Elaine O'Brien, who died Friday morning from brain cancer. She was 58.

O'Brien was a Suffield resident who represented her hometown, East Granby and Windsor in the state House of Representatives.

"State of Connecticut flags will remain at half-staff until the day of her interment, which has not yet been determined," the Governor's Office announced Friday.
