Graduation Date Set For Darien High School

DARIEN, CT — With warm weather approaching and spring already here, the Darien Board of Education has set a date for graduation at Darien High School.

The school board voted unanimously last week to set Wednesday, June 14, as graduation day for DHS students.

With one snow day this past winter, Superintendent of Schools Dr. Alan Addley recommended the date to the rest of the board.

"That's typically and historically where graduation has been. It also tends to attract a greater number of our staff, which is very helpful," Addley said.

For non-graduating seniors, June 14 will serve as a half-day. The last teacher work day will be June 15.
