Groundbreaking for The Royle at Darien Community – Oct. 25, 10:30

The Housing Authority of the Town of Darien and JHM Financial Group will host a celebration and groundbreaking for the $20 million The Royle at Darien senior housing development at 719 Boston Post Road in Darien. This new community, which replaces the outdated and obsolete Old Town Hall Homes housing complex with 55 new, affordable rental apartments expected to be completed during the Summer of 2020. The event begins at 10:30 a.m.

This state of the art, senior living community will blend into the balance of the Town of Darien and provide much needed affordable housing that meets the needs of the residents.

The development is being financed through a combination of private and public funds including but not limited to CHFA, CT DOH, Town of Darien and Bank of America. This is a true example of what can happen and how chance can come about in a public-private partnership.
