Connecticut Weather: Heatwave Continues, Severe Weather Possible Tuesday

The weather changes a lot this week and if you have outdoor plans for the upcoming weekend you're not going to like this forecast.

There’s a lot going on with this 7-day forecast for Connecticut. We’ll continue with the heatwave through Tuesday and then we could see some thunderstorms, which will break the heat Tuesday night. Wednesday and Thursday will be much cooler and nice days, but as of right now Friday, Saturday and Sunday look very cloudy and rain and thunderstorms are possible for each day.

The chances for rain and thunderstorms are roughly 50 percent for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Hopefully, this forecast changes for the end of the week.

WTNH News 8 Meteorologist Gil Simmons wrote, “Sunny and hot weather all day long today! High temperature between 90 and 95. Cooler at the beaches! Warm and humid with 60s and 70s tonight. One more hot day tomorrow with high temperatures up around 90. There will be some thunderstorms tomorrow afternoon and they will bring cooler weather for Wednesday. High temperatures on Wednesday in the 70s to low 80s!
