Here Are The Upcoming Public Hearings For The Darien Planning & Zoning Commission

The Feb. 10 P&Z meeting was cancelled. Several pending public hearings are now scheduled to continue later this month.

DARIEN, CT — The Darien Planning and Zoning Commission was scheduled to meet Feb. 10 but due to a lack of quorum, the meeting was cancelled with several pending public hearings now scheduled to continue later this month.

According to a memo from Planning & Zoning Director Jeremy Ginsberg, the public hearings listed on the Feb. 10 agenda will be "immediately continued to February 24, 2026 at 7 p.m. in Room 206 of Darien Town Hall."

Among the matters set for continuation is a Flood Damage Prevention application at 65 Hecker Ave. filed by Buy or Sell Realty LLC.

The proposal seeks to raze an existing residence and detached garage and construct a new single-family home with a deck and driveway, along with related site work and stormwater management within a regulated area. The 0.37-acre property is located on the north side of Hecker Avenue at its eastern intersection with Frate Court in the R-1/5 Residential Zone.

Also continued is a Land Filling, Excavation and Regrading application at 45 Old Farm Road filed by Oliver Wilson Development LLC.

The application proposes regrading, filling and excavation in connection with a new single-family residence, pool, HVAC unit and generator, as well as retaining walls and utilities. The 1.05-acre property is located on the north side of Old Farm Road in the R-1 Residential Zone.

A third item scheduled for continuation is a Flood Damage Prevention application at 10 Holly Lane filed by Shilpa and Kenton Rosenberry.

The proposal calls for construction of a pool, spa and patio area, along with related site development activities and stormwater management within a regulated area. The 1.19-acre property is located on the west side of Holly Lane in the R-1 Residential Zone.

Public comment is taken as part of the hearing process.
