Homeless Man Found in Woodland Park, Arrested
Police say they've warned the 57-year-old multiple times that it's not allowed.

on Sunday arrested a 57-year-old man who is known to be homeless, for setting up a camp in .
Robert Houseworth, who gave an address of the Best Value Motel in Stamford, was charged with first-degree criminal trespass.
Houseworth is known to police and had been warned many times in the past that camping is not allowed at Woodland or any Darien town park, according to Darien Police Capt. Frederick W. Komm.

Komm said that a woman saw him setting up camp near a hiking trail at about 12:30 p.m. and phoned police, then directed officer to the area, where they found Houseworth.
He was held on $250 bond and scheduled to appear June 4 in state Superior Court in Stamford.

Police arrested a 23-year-old town man by warrant at 7 p.m. on June 3 and charged him with criminal violation of a protective order.
The arrested party had been told to stay away from his parent’s Darien home based on a domestic violence incident. Police say they believe he had returned to the home and keyed a car parked there.
