How About Competence

The Darien Republican Town Committee (RTC) is looking for new members. I would hope that a commitment to competence, not ideology, might be the first criteria. Darien is poorly run by Jayme Stevenson. The Shuffle should have been a piece of cake and it has turned into a mess. Even without transparency, the word is out about how poorly it has been run. Stevenson ignores the paramedic issue to the peril of Darien residents. It is simply not acceptable that Haggerty Ross is still Chairman of the Board of Education in the face of illegalities. In truth, the RTC has simply been a spawning ground of turf and lights fanaticism and not a source of competent leaders. Stay tuned. Walter Casey.
