If it can keep plugging along, trying to sell clouds to giants, Watson might take off and help break the revenue slump. And the researchers in IBM’s labs will be able to continue their work, building to their next breakthrough, Murphy concluded.
And just today, Murphy reported that the US Government wants IBM to build quantum computers for it.
