INFINITY ATHLETICS HOSTS TESTING DAY TO BENEFIT LOCAL CHARITY

Infinity Athletics, a local business that specializes in training student athletes, is hosting their first ever 3S Testing Day on Saturday March 1st.

The testing event utilizes some of the same events used by club teams, high schools, colleges and even professional teams to analyze an athlete’s capabilities.  The event will be hosted at the New Canaan location of Infinity Athletics at 70 Pine St.  The event will test athletes in Strength, Speed and Skills, hence the 3S name of the testing event.  The special event is open to the general public ages 13 and up and athletes can be registered online at http://3STestingDay.com.

The idea for the event came to Program Director Zach Dehm and co-owner David Peterson, the owner of sister business Infinity Fitness, while seeing just how far many of the athletes have progressed while in their programs.  “We are proud to get our athletes measurable results.  Going from JV to Varsity is good in and of itself, but to actually put numbers to what we have done with our athletes is really satisfying.  Testing is a regular part of our programs and we thought it would be a fun event to have a day just dedicated to it.”

All profits from the $20 entry fee will go to local New Canaan charity A Better Chance, Inc.  “Often athletic ability is the only way for children in poor circumstances to make big strides forward in their life and ABC House does that same thing for youth based on academic promise.  We really liked that idea.”

Infinity Athletics, a subsidiary of Infinity Fitness has been in operation in both Darien and New Canaan since 2013.  Their programs are based on the premise that individual evaluations and cutting edge techniques should be used for each athlete in their programs to create the best improvement of ability in a safe yet effective manner. Program Director Zach Dehm has worked with some of the top athletes to come out of the area in recent years.  Co-Founder Dave Peterson has been operating Infinity Fitness since 2010.
