Because of the opaqueness of Darien's government, I have suggested Self-FOIing or Intra-Governmental-FOIing. By this I mean, Darien officials would FOI other Darien officials to try and find out what is going on in town government. For example, Jayme Stevenson would FOI the construction and inspection records involving 35 Leroy, the old library building. In this way, Stevenson might find out what has actually gone on during this construction project. Come to think of it, Stevenson might not want to know what has gone on. Oh well, it just seems to me that using the FOI law as government outsiders do to help learn what is going on inside government might help supposed government insiders to do the same. Stay tuned.
