Jennifer's Kitchen - BEST Meal Ever

WOW! It's been nine months since Jennifer's Kitchen opened in Darien (284 Tokeneke Rd just before Rowayton by the White Bridge Liquor Store over in Tokeneke) and I just stopped in for the first time. Boy have I been missing out on some of Darien's BEST comfort food. My son and I went in for a quick dinner and were pleasantly surprised by the incredible meal we both enjoyed.

I ordered a grilled chicken club on a roll and my son had "Jennifer's Favorite" which is a turkey sandwich with a zesty avocado & bacon, on a hard roll. We will start with Jennifer's Favorite. The turkey is loaded on the sandwich and it is REAL, fresh, cooked turkey. No deli meat here! The avocado had a little twist to it to give the sandwich a little extra something. The bacon was delicious, smoked bacon. The sandwich was so good, my son asked if he could save half for lunch tomorrow. I said we could just order one for tomorrow and he said he was full from half because it was so packed with fresh turkey. Dinner & Lunch Done! ✅

My sandwich was like a dream. I have never enjoyed a piece of grilled chicken as much as I did tonight. Russ, the lovely, friendly, owner/chef said he uses a dry rub on the chicken first to make the flavor come out but seal in the moisture. It worked!! With shredded lettuce, a touch of Hellman's mayo, and bacon, it became dreamlike. I literally just kept saying, "Mmmm, this is incredible!" over and over again. I also enjoyed a fresh salad before my dinner that was delicious as well. Crisp fresh green lettuce with shredded carrots and cucumbers (all my choice.). You can customize anything you want because, as Russ said, "I like to make people happy so I am happy to make whatever they want." It's the real deal.

If you have not tried Jennifer's Kitchen, GO NOW!!! You will not be disappointed! Support your local business and keep Russ in business because we need good restaurants in town and this one is (literally) a hidden gem. Don't forget Jennifer's Kitchen! They are open SEVEN days a week 6AM-8PM M-Sat and 7AM-1PM Sundays.
