Jewelry Stolen in Darien Burglary

More than $2,500 in jewelry was taken.

DARIEN, CT — Police are investigating after more than $2,500 in jewelry was stolen during a burglary Dec. 30.

The burglary occurred at a Hoyt Street residence sometime between 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. A rear door was forced open and the house ransacked.

Among the items taken were an 18 karat gold necklace worth $2,000, two Kate Spade watches worth $600, an Ann Klein bracelet and other items, police said.

The homeowners are still taking inventory of items and more may have been stolen, police said.
