Jimmy Lee, 62, died unexpectedly Wednesday after running on a treadmill in his Darien home.

JPMorgan Vice Chairman Jimmy Lee died suddenly Wednesday after running on a treadmill in his Darien home.
Lee previously led the company’s investment banking division and oversaw major mergers and IPOs. He oversaw the General Motors and Alibaba IPOs, which are the largest in U.S. history, according to CNBC.
“As Vice Chairman of our company and former head of our Investment Bank, Jimmy made an indelible and invaluable contribution to our company, our people, our clients and our industry over his nearly 40 years of dedicated and selfless service,” said JP Morgan Chase Chairman and CEO Jamie Dimon in a statement. “Jimmy was a master of his craft, but he was so much more – he was an incomparable force of nature.”

Lee reported shortness of breath while running on his treadmill, according to Business Insider. He was 62-years-old.
Lee also helped lead the refinancing of $30 billion in Sallie Mae debt, switching Dell back to a private company and the United-Continental merger, according to Business Insider.

He has a wife and three children.
