Latest Connecticut High School Field Hockey Poll Released

CONNECTICUT — Two schools cracked the top 10 and three others imoroved their positions in the latest weekly Connecticut hgh school field hockey coaches poll.

Darien received five of six first-place nods to remain the frontrunner, with New Canaan collecting the other top vote to stay in second place.

Here are the top 10, with first-place votes and last week's ranking in parentheses, as well as all other programs receiving votes.

4. Guilford (lw: 5)
5. Farmington (lw: 4)
6. Wethersfield (lw: 9)
7. Staples (lw: 3)

9. Pomperaug (lw: NR)
10. Old Saybrook (lw: 8)

Also receiving votes: Greenwich, Ridgefield, Glastonbury, Thomaston, Immaculate, North Branford, Stonington.
