The campaign encourages adults to securely store and monitor alcohol at home to help reduce youth access to alcohol through social sources.

"We are grateful to our local retailers for helping bring this prevention message directly to adults throughout the community," said Sarah McCarty, program director of Thriving Youth Darien, in a news release. "Graduation season is a time of celebration, and it's also an opportunity for families to have conversations about expectations and take simple steps that can help keep young people safe."

"Most underage drinking doesn't begin with a purchase at a store. It often begins with access at home or through social sources," said Darien Police Det. Joseph Cusano. "By working together as a community, we can help reduce that access and support healthier choices for young people."
