Mail Stolen in Darien, PD Warns Victims to Monitor Credit Reports

DARIEN, CT — At least two residents were the victims of mail theft recently in town.

A passerby noticed mail dumped in a bush near Weeds Landing and the Post Road Jan. 23, police said.

Two residents of the Post Road were victims. Some mail was opened along with an Amazon delivery.

The mail was returned to the residents and police and the postmaster are following up on the investigation.

The victims were advised to monitor their credit cards and credit reports for fraudulent activity.
