Mail Theft Reported In Darien: Police

Police said a check was stolen from a mailbox in Darien last week.

DARIEN, CT — An incident of mail theft was reported in Darien last week, according to police.

On May 3, officers responded to a Georgian Lane home. The homeowner said that at approximately 1 p.m. on that date, he saw a car pull up to his mailbox and take a piece of mail out of the mailbox. The stolen piece of mail contained a personal check, the man said.

In the past, Darien police have warned residents about mail theft.
