Man Accused Of Assaulting Passenger On Bus In Darien: Police
A 27-year-old Stamford man has been charged with second-degree assault and breach of peace, police said.

DARIEN, CT — A 27-year-old Stamford man accused of assaulting another man on a bus in Darien in October was arrested last month on a warrant that charged him with second-degree assault and breach of peace, according to the Darien Police Department.
Rainaldo Morris turned himself in to Darien police on Dec. 20. According to judicial records, Morris was able to post a $75,000 bond. He appeared in court on Dec. 28, police said.
Police said they responded to the Post Road near Brookside Road in Darien on Oct. 21 at 7:38 p.m., on a report of an active physical altercation on a public transportation bus.

"The victim pointed out Morris and stated that Morris attacked him randomly and was unsure why," police said. "The victim suffered multiple lacerations and abrasions to his face and was transported to the hospital."
A witness told police that Morris got on the bus and appeared to be "acting out of the norm," police said, adding that the witness said Morris started attacking the victim out of nowhere.

Police said Morris spat at officers as they tried to speak with him. Morris was taken to the hospital for evaluation.
Police said an arrest warrant was approved by a judge on Dec. 19.
