Man Accused Of Selling Drugs To Undercover Officer: Darien Police

Police said they received information in April about illicit drug sales in the Noroton Heights section of Darien.

DARIEN, CT — A 23-year-old Bridgeport man accused of selling drugs in Darien was arrested on May 12 following a several-week investigation, according to police.

Marc Busanet was charged with two counts of sale of an illegal drug, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, and conspiracy. He was held on a $100,000 bond.

In April, Darien police became aware of illicit drug sales in the Noroton Heights section of town, and they began an investigation, police said.

Investigators honed in on Busanet after identifying his car, police noted.

With help from the Stamford Police Department's Narcotics & Organized Crime unit and a Bridgeport Police Task Force, several "controlled drug buys" were made using an undercover police officer, police said

On May 12, an undercover officer purchased $400 worth of heroin and crack cocaine, police said, adding that the heroin later tested presumptively positive for fentanyl.

While back in Bridgeport, Busanet was arrested the same day and later transferred to Darien on an active arrest warrant, police said. He's next scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court on July 27.

Police said an investigation remains ongoing, and additional arrests are expected.
