Man Accused Of Trespassing On Darien Public School Property: Police
The arrestee was seen driving a Chevrolet Tahoe that resembled a police vehicle with "Search and Rescue" markings on it, police said.

DARIEN, CT — A 55-year-old Norwalk man was arrested last week and charged after he returned to a Darien public school property and broke a formal trespass order that was issued earlier this year, according to police.
The man was charged with first-degree criminal trespass, a misdemeanor.
On Feb. 27, police officers responded to a report of the arrestee returning to Darien public school property, police said.

At approximately 1:14p.m., the Hindley Elementary School security officer noticed a black 2013 Chevrolet Tahoe, which resembled a police vehicle with "Search and Rescue" markings, enter the school parking lot, police said, noting the vehicle was identified as belonging to the arrestee based on prior incidents.
Police said the man admitted to cutting through the school parking lot to avoid traffic, "but claimed he was unaware of the formal trespass order issued in January of 2024 by school officials and police."

Following an investigation, the man was issued a misdemeanor summons and released on a promise to appear notice. The man is scheduled to appear in court on March 20.
