Man Arrested After Domestic Incident

Police arrested a Relihan Road man after a domestic incident became physical, police said.

The Zalewski Tadeusz, 47, got into an argument with a female relative over child care the morning of Sept. 19 at a Relihan Road residence.

The verbal fight turned physical when he pushed her with his arms, police said. No one was injured in the incident and Tadeusz was charged with disorderly conduct.

Wallet Stolen

A wallet was reported stolen from a shopping cart at 25 Old Kings Highway North.

A New Milford resident was shopping Sept. 18 and left her wallet in a shopping cart between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. and drove away. She realized about 10 minutes later that she didn’t have her wallet and went back.

She couldn’t find the wallet and no one turned a wallet into security, police said.

Inside were several credit cards, $50 and a driver’s license.

Pot Ticket

Darien Police issued an infraction to a woman for marijuana possession after a motor vehicle stop Sept. 14.

An officer were on patrol and pulled the vehicle over near the Post Road and Rings End Road for a registration issue. The female operator said the car belonged to her father and there was an issue renewing the registration.

The officer smelled marijuana and asked if any was in the vehicle, police said. A passenger said there was a joint. Police found about 8.75 grams of marijuana and issued an infraction to the 21-year-old Stamford operator.
