Man Breaks Into Darien Home, Violating Protective Order: PD
The incident occurred Sunday evening, Dec. 3.

DARIEN, CT — A 45-year-old Norwalk man was arrested on charges of violating a protective order and second-degree burglary after he allegedly broken into the home of a Darien woman who has a protective order against him, according to police.
Arrested was Sean C. Mobley, of Neptune Avenue, on Dec. 3, after he allegedly broke into the home in the Noroton Heights area.
"[The victim] informed officers that she had been away for a period of time, during which her neighbor was watching her home and caring for her pet," wrote Darien police in a statement. "When she returned, her neighbor informed her that Sean Mobley had been in and out of her apartment in her absence. The victim told officers there was a standing criminal protective order against Mobley, and that he did not have permission to be in her home.

"The neighbor reported to officers that he had been in the home caring for the dog, when a male who identified himself as 'Sean' used a key to enter the front door. The neighbor stated the male, later identified as Sean Mobley, indicated he was there out of concern for the victim and her daughter. When the neighbor informed Mobley that they weren’t home, Mobley told the neighbor several times that he didn’t have to inform the victim that he had been at the home. Mobley then departed the home."
Darien police confirmed the protective order and, together with Norwalk police, responded to Mobley’s home.

"When Darien and Norwalk officers were at the home, the Darien officers at the front door reported being able to see Mobley through a front window prior to ringing the doorbell," wrote Darien police. "When officers rang the doorbell, they observed Mobley get up and hurriedly run to the rear of the residence. An elderly female answered the door, identifying herself as Mobley’s mother. When asked, she stated she was unaware of his location. While Darien officers were speaking with the female, Norwalk officers stationed at the rear of the residence took Mobley into custody as he exited the back door."
Police said that Mobley allegedly admitted to being in the woman’s home while she was away, and that he knew that there was a protective order against him.
Mobley held in lieu of a $50,000 bond and was scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court on Dec. 4.
