Man Killed In Single-Car Crash In Darien; ID Released: State Police
The crash occurred on Interstate-95 near exit 12 in Darien on the morning of Jan. 16, police said.
DARIEN, CT — A 40-year-old man was killed Monday morning after his car slammed into the guardrail on Interstate-95 in Darien, according to the Connecticut State Police.
Juan Galo Lliquin-Guisnan, of New Haven, was driving his 2011 Chevrolet Cruze on I-95 North in the right lane near exit 12 at around 5 a.m., when, for unknown reasons, he veered off the road and struck the end of the metal beam guardrail in the right shoulder, police said.
Lliquin-Guisnan was pronounced dead at the scene. A 21-year-old New Haven woman who was a passenger in the car was taken to Norwalk Hospital with minor injuries, police said.
