Man Stole Work Van, Faces Several Charges: Darien Police
Police said a 28-year-old man stole a work van in May, and was involved in a "domestic disturbance" while in the van.

DARIEN, CT — A Norwalk man is facing several charges after police said he stole a van from his place of work in May and was later involved in a "domestic disturbance incident" in the van.
On July 9, Darien police officers went to the Norwalk Police Department to take custody of Dustin Wymms, 28, who was served with an arrest warrant stemming from an incident that occurred on May 5.
Wymms was charged with disorderly conduct; second-degree reckless endangerment; third-degree burglary; second-degree larceny; illegal operation under suspension; criminal trover damage to a motor vehicle.

In May, a man told police his employee, identified as Wymms, broke into his business in Darien and stole a work vehicle.
"[The] complainant stated that Wymms called him the evening before and told him that he 'messed up' and further explained that he took the work van and crashed it," Darien police said in a news release.

Police said that Wymms had picked up another person in the van.
"[The] victim stated that when the vehicle was stopped on the Post Road near Oberlander Place, Wymms forced the victim out of the car," police said in a news release. "The victim reported injuries to the face, hands and knee."
An arrest warrant was then issued for Wymms, police said. Wymms was released on a $150,000 bond.
