Man Violated Protective Order in Darien Domestic: PD

A man was arrested after an argument over prom matters with the mother of his daughter turned physical, police said.

DARIEN, CT- A Norwalk man was arrested after he got into a dispute with the mother of his daughter over prom matters.

Police responded to a domestic incident May 6 around 5:30 p.m. on Allen O'Neil Drive. The woman observed the daughter leaving the residence with prom clothes in hand, police said. She asked her daughter for details about the evening.

Sean Mobley, 43, then got involved and accused the woman of trying to ruin the juvenile's evening, police said.

The woman asked her daughter to step inside the residence and Mobley allegedly blocked the woman from closing the door with his foot. Pushing ensued and Mobley grabbed the woman and pulled her outside, the woman told police.

Mobley gave a similar account, but said the woman tried to punch him and slam his foot with the door, police said. He also said the woman opened the juvenile's car door as he drove away.

A protective order was in place against Mobley that stems from a previous incident with the woman, police said. Mobley claimed that he thought it had expired.

He was charged with disorderly conduct and criminal violation of a protective order.
