Man Wanted for Sexual Assault Nabbed in Darien: PD
The man was wanted for sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor charges, police said.

DARIEN, CT — Police arrested a Bronx, New York man after he was found in a vehicle pulled over for a minor offense.
An officer conducted a motor vehicle stop Dec. 31 around 1:06 p.m. in the area of Day Street after noticing a vehicle was missing it's front plate and it's rear plate didn't correspond with the vehicle, police said.
The operator, identified as Mahwanga Campbell, 25, of the Bronx originally gave police a fake name and was charged with interfering with police, possession of marijuana and operating an unregistered vehicle, police said.

The passenger was identified as Derreck McKenzie, 57. He was wanted on outstanding warrants from Stonington Police for fourth-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor. He was turned over to Stonington Police.
