Math Missionary Greg Tang Coming to Darien
Math expert Greg Tang will lead a workshop on Wednesday, March 4th to help parents learn ways they can support their children's math skills

Nationally renown math expert,Greg Tang, will lead a workshop on Wednesday, March 4th to help parents learn ways they can support their children’s math skills development at home. Tang has been called the “Math Missionary” for his dedication to and passion for sharing his love of math with students, teachers, and parents.
In addition to traveling the country presenting at conferences, workshops, and author’s visits,Tang has written several award winning children’s math books including the NYTimes Bestsellers List’s The Grapes of Math. Tang also created a highly acclaimed website GregTangMath.com which provides entertaining activities designed to teach children critical math skills and strategies and provide the repetition and practice required for mastery.
During this parents’ workshop, Tang will teach parents a few simple but effective ways they can help develop their children’s math skills at home, as well as, help parents gain a better understanding of new teaching methods and standards. While in Darien, Tang will also be visiting Ox Ridge and Royal Elementary schools to inspire students’ enthusiasm for math.

Greg Tang’s workshop, sponsored by the DAEG (Darien Advocates for the Education of the Gifted), is open to the public and will be held on Wednesday, March 4th, at 7pm in Middlesex Middle School’s auditorium at 204 Hollow Tree Ridge Road, Darien. The DAEG (daeg.org) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the education enrichment of all Darien students.
