Michele Gartland Joins Rucci Law Group in Darien
Michele Gartland will be working in the estate and trust practice of the Darien law firm.

Amy Zabetakis, managing partner of the Rucci Law Group, is pleased to announce the appointment of Michele Gartland as attorney in the estate and trust practice at the Darien law firm, via a press release.

Michele Gartland brings experience in corporate, real estate, and general practice along with strong ties to the community, a hallmark of the Rucci Law Group. Michele worked at Chemical Bank while pursuing her legal education.

She began her legal career at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom. More recently Michele had a private practice in Darien focused on trust and estates. Amy Zabetakis said: “Michele Gartland is a welcome addition to our practice, bringing in-‐depth knowledge and expertise on the complexities of estate and trust work, how best to transfer wealth, minimize taxes, and when desired support charities.”
She added: “Michele is very much an active and engaged member of the Darien and larger Fairfield County community. She has raised a family, practiced law, and been active with charitable organizations like Person to Person, Horizons, and Builders Without Borders.”

Michele Gartland describes her approach to law as “a combination of legal knowledge, understanding a client’s needs, building a long-‐term, trusting relationship, and at times some hand holding in the best sense. Phases of life play an important role as young couples plan for protection of their children and generating wealth, while later in life couples are looking at how best to transfer wealth intelligently.”
Michele Gartland is a graduate of Georgetown University where she majored in History and Asian Studies. She received her J.D. from Fordham University School of Law. She is licensed to practice law in Connecticut and New York.
