Mover Accused Of Stealing Watch From Darien Home: Police
A 38-year-old man was charged with first-degree larceny stemming from an incident that occurred in Darien last July, police said.

DARIEN, CT — A 38-year-old man who was employed by a moving company is accused of stealing a watch from a Darien home last summer and pawning it for $1,350, according to Darien police.
Jamar Blackburn, of Bridgeport, was served with an arrest warrant while in custody at the Bridgeport Correctional Center on Jan. 18, police said.
Blackburn is charged with first-degree larceny and was given a $25,000 bond.

On Aug. 17, 2022, a woman reported to police that a watch had been stolen from her home.
She said that on July 25, 2022, about four to five movers were assisting a designer in moving and lifting furniture at her house, police noted, adding that Blackburn was identified as one of the movers.

Officers contacted Bridgeport police to access pawnshop records, and found Blackburn had pawned the stole watch on July 25.
According to the CT Judicial Branch website, Blackburn was arrested on Nov. 23, 2021, and charged with fourth-degree larceny in another case. He was later arrested by Milford police on Sept. 7, 2022, and charged with second-degree larceny.
Blackburn's next court date is Feb. 2.
